The game begins with our main character, Octo, trapped inside pirate ship wreckage. As Octo soon learns, the ship is filled with aggressive foes, dangerous traps, and intricate puzzles. Many sea creatures have ventured into the wreckage; some return with treasure, but few return at all. Can Octo escape this ship alive with treasure of his own?
